We have been operating as a tour boat company since 2011. In 2019, the company changed ownership. The current owner was a captain for the company for 5 years before taking on a full time management role and eventually, purchasing the company. Since then, we have continued to provide an excellent way for Door County visitors to enjoy it’s natural beauty from the water.
There is a rich history with our boat, “Quo Vadis”. It was originally built as a military transport vessel by Marinette Marine, just across the Bay from us. It was eventually purchased by the Catholic Dioceses of Green Bay and used as a passenger ferry to transport people to Chambers Island. The Dioceses had a retreat house on the island and the Quo Vadis would make regular trips to and from the island. The retreat house closed in 2014 and has since been demolished. A group of Chambers Island residents collectively purchased the property in an effort to maintain the island’s quiet, secluded style.
We continue to increase our knowledge about Door County and it’s rich history. We have an excellent staff that is not only extremely knowledgeable but also well trained and competent to be able to take passengers out on the water.
